Learning environment and code of conduct

We are dedicated to maintaining respectful, inclusive, and psychologically safe learning environments across all live sessions, accreditation activities, and digital platforms. We welcome paid social care workers, unpaid carers, managers, medical professionals and members of the public.

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat all learners, facilitators, and guest speakers with respect and professional courtesy.
  • Contribute positively to group discussions and avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate language and behaviour.
  • Follow any additional guidance provided by facilitators during live interactive sessions.

Confidentiality and shared experiences

Our training often involves learning about real-world social care scenarios and lived experiences. To ensure an open and secure environment for everyone involved, strict confidentiality must be upheld at all times.

Participants must respect the confidentiality of any personal, organisational, or sensitive information shared by peers or trainers. Breaches of privacy undermine the trust essential to effective care education and will not be tolerated.

Intellectual property and digital platform use

All course materials, presentation slides, videos, and documentation are the exclusive intellectual property of the Dementia Training Academy. Participants are not permitted to share, download, record, reproduce, or reuse training resources with colleagues or outside organisations without prior written permission.

Digital platforms must be used responsibly in compliance with all applicable UK laws. The Dementia Training Academy reserves the right to remove participants from sessions or restrict digital access if conduct is disruptive, inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with our standards.
