It’s a six‑level national development pathway that takes learners from foundational understanding to leadership and innovation.

The levels are:

1. Dementia Community Supporter

2. Dementia Practitioner

3. Advanced Dementia Practitioner

4. Specialist Dementia Practitioner

5. Master Dementia Practitioner

6. Dementia Innovation & Leadership Fellow

Each level is designed to be flexible.

Most learners complete the awareness learning in 1–2 hours, with optional deeper learning for those who want to go further.

Organisations can train teams at their own pace.

Levels 2 - 6 have a timescale of 1 year to complete, with the option of extending for an additional 6 months.
